STATEMENT
As an experienced Sales Assistant at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, I have
learnt how to be customer oriented whilst working towards goals. Over my
career, I have learnt to become a very fast and efficient member of a team. I
possess a 2.1 degree in BSc Multimedia Technology and Design and a very keen
interest and knowledge of computer systems.

· I was hired
to build a website for a charitable organisation. This organisation is a farm
which opens up for children with life limiting illnesses so that they can
interact with the animals.
· I built a
fully functioning website for them using Adobe Dreamweaver and provided them
with an identity on websites such as Facebook and Trip Advisor.
· I maintained
their computer systems also and help them to communicate with clients.

Responsibilities:
· Serving
customers on the till and achieving the completion of transactions in a timely,
efficient and friendly manner.
· Helping
show customers products such as watches, clocks and jewellery whilst providing

the appearance of the shop by cleaning displays and making sure that fixtures
are tidy, presentable and distinguishable.
· Working
towards set daily targets.
· Checking
that the credit slips match the entries on the system.
· Dropping
off the tills in at the start of the day and picking them up at the end.
· I have also
been trained on the admissions desks at the ROG.
· I
continuously help to fix any problems with the computer systems in the office
or in the shop when the IT department are unavailable.

· I
volunteered at the British Heart Foundation to gain experience of working in a diverse
workplace and to interact with other people of different backgrounds. I began
in the stock room where I sorted books and clothes.

trained new volunteers, worked on the till, completed admin work involving
donations, and cleaned the shop.

· In the
first year, modules studied including 'Digital Effects', 'Computer Systems',
'Introduction to Programming' and 'Website Design' in which I learnt the basics
of how to build and maintain PCs with the Windows 7 operating system. I also
gained a lot of knowledge of programming languages such as C#, XML, CSS and
HTML.
· As well as
developing several programs and websites, I also undertook several editing jobs
during my time on the course such as short films and documentaries. I became
fluent with software packages such as the Adobe suite and the Microsoft Office
suite (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
· I also
learnt about the complexity of internet security in the second year and created
a fully functioning e-commerce website using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe
Dreamweaver, Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Excel.
· Throughout
the duration of this degree, I learnt about computer hardware and the
maintenance of systems. Learning thoroughly about the intricacies of computer
infrastructure, I could easily complete my university objectives and projects.
During my several projects I was responsible for upholding the computer systems
used for myself and offering support to my colleagues.

INTERESTS
· I have had
much experience with computer related tasks. I've updated and installed
hardware on PCs and have configured and solved many computational problems that
have occurred to myself and others.

built several PCs to meet clients' specifications and needs.
· As well as a keen interest in computer systems, I take great pleasure in
studying the process of film-making and enjoy watching and reviewing cinema.
